Tobacco Caye is about 10 miles East-south-east of Dangriga Town in Southern Belize. The island lies within the South Water Caye Marine Reserve, so it has some fishing restrictions since it is a part of Belize’s national system of protected waters. There are only about 20 permanent residents living on Tobacco Caye but it does play hosts to a number of tourists looking for that off-the-beaten-path beach experience. However, it is never overly crowded on any one given day. You’re guaranteed to enjoy your own part of the island during your stay. Are there restaurants on the island?

There are 20-30 minute boat rides that leave Dangriga Town daily. There are also boat rides that leave Tobacco Caye daily every morning as well. As our guests, once we know your arrival time and mode of transport, we can arrange to pick you up either at the Bus Terminal or the Airstrip in Dangriga and transport you to Tobacco Caye.Is the water good for swimming?
The sea in Tobacco Caye is excellent for swimming, snorkeling and diving. It is warm and clear!Will I have electricity and internet access on the island?
