Orange Walk Belize Hotel
Much like Corozal, Orange Walk is not much on the radar as a tourist destination. The town is about twice the size of Corozal, and twice as busy with commerce much of it thanks to it being the home of the country’s largest sugar mill. The mill at Tower Hill, well on the outskirts of the town, generates employment for hundreds of factory workers and thousands of sugar cane farmers. Tourism is clearly not high on the agenda.
But Orange Walk has a couple Maya ruins, the best-known is Lamanai and those looking for an inland expedition to one of the largest Maya sites in Belize will finds lots to do here. The best deals for hotels are in Orange Walk town itself. Jungle resorts are on the high end.
